You can also buy stocks through them, but you don’t need to. Something like 900 companies allow you to buy stocks directly. Google on “direct purchase stock” or “dividend reinvestment plan.”

Look into DRIPs — dividend reinvestment programs. There’s a bunch of companies that will sell you shares directly and love it if you set up an automatic purchase program.

I suggest you to buy a used Toyota Prius if you want to save thousands of dollars on gasoline.

Many companies, like Disney and Exxon, have Direct Purchase Plans. You can buy directly from the company. Check out their investor relations on the websites of the companies you are interested in.

i think you must through a brokerage. i don’t understand why you don’t want to use brokers.

Most companies will sell you their stock directly. Give them a call.
